Over the weekend we had COBRA members competing in Rutherford Head and back at home in Queen’s Head of the River.

On the Tyne Rachel Bradley and Kirsty Dalzell raced in the Women’s 4x- event for Newcastle University and University of Nottingham respectively. Rachel’s quad convincingly won the category with Kirsty’s quad coming in 3rd. In division 2 Rachel’s VIII+ was the fastest overall crew! 🏆

On the Lagan, Hugh Moore won the Men’s Senior 1x event with Fergus Bryce coming in 2nd. Hugh and Fergus later joined forces to win the Men’s Senior 4x- and the fastest time of the day. John Harte coxed both the Women’s and Men’s Senior IV+ to victory.

Our CGS rowers also performed impressively at Queen’s Head, coming away with wins in the Men’s J15 4x+ and 8x+ and Women’s J15 4x- and 8x+. 🥇

The CGSRC table quiz last night was a resounding success, raising an impressive £1300 towards the purchase of a new boat.

The event was organized solely by the CGSRC Fundraising team, whose hard work and planning were instrumental to its success.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event - your continued support is greatly appreciated.
