Congratulations to COBRA members Rachel, Molly and Kirsty on their fantastic performances at Henley Women’s Regatta this weekend.

Rachel raced through time trials, quarter finals and into the semi finals where her Newcastle University crew met a Team GB U23 Development VIII+ racing under a Leader Club guise. The Newcastle crew battled bow ball for bow ball down the full 1500m course but unfortunately missed out on the final by 3/4 length.

Molly, in the Championship 1x, raced through time trials, quarter finals and into the semi finals where she met a very strong sculler from Waikato Rowing Club, New Zealand. Molly raced hard but eventually finished a 2 1/4 lengths down. The New Zealand sculler was the eventual winner of the event.

Kirsty’s Aspirational Academic VIII+ from Nottingham University unfortunately did not qualify for the regatta, missing out on a chance to race down this famous Henley course by only a few seconds.
