Thank you to all the coaches and parents for making another successful Coleraine GS Rowing Club Awards Dinner possible.
It was great to see such a turnout of COBRA members supporting the club as well as friends and fellow rowers from Queen’s University Belfast and Nottingham University!

As part of the Tesco Stronger Starts campaign, COBRA has been selected locally as one of 3 initiatives to benefit. Tesco customers in the Coleraine, Portstewart or Ballymoney stores can vote by placing a blue token in the COBRA container. The project aims to purchase new oars for Coleraine Grammar School Rowing Club, benefitting young athletes on the water.

Voting is now open and will run until mid-January 2024!

Two new racing shells (an VIII+ and a 2x/-) have been added to the boat house today due to the continued support of our members and their generous donations. This is the single largest purchase we have ever made as an organisation and the first time a brand new 8 has been delivered to Coleraine since 2003!

These new boats will serve Coleraine GS Rowing Club for at least the next 20 years and they will continue to bring new athletes to experience the great sport of rowing that we all love. Thank you all very much.

Naming ceremony to come in the near future… watch this space!

Super proud of Fergus Bryce and John Harte competing at The Home International Regatta in Lough Rinn last weekend, both their first senior international regatta.

Fergus Bryce brought home gold in the 4x- 2km race, and coming in 2nd behind England in both his 2x 2km race and 4x- 500m sprint.

John Harte coxed the men’s 4+ to a 3rd place finish in the 2km race and just missed out on the podium positions in the 8+ 2km and 500m races.

Well done to all and enjoy a much deserved break over the holidays!
